Happy New Year
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
As 365 (366 in a leap year) days go by, more and more promises get made and broken. Specifically around January, we promise ourselves; we'll eat healthier, go to the gym more and spend less. Very rarely, do we keep these promises. Very rarely do we get to the end of the year and and think: "hey, we totally did eat healthier, go to the gym and spend less". More than often our New Year's Resolutions are left forgotten and discarded next to countless chocolate wrappers and Topshop bags.
Twitter and Facebook statuses are updated and the obligatory bitchy back lash follows. My favourite this year: "New Year, New Me... nah you'll still be the same bitch you were last year".
Nothing grinds my gears more than people judging other people's life decisions. Please refrain from being a total bitch and criticising others long enough to maybe realise that by focusing on others you ultimately lose focus on yourself. Call me cheesy, but I genuinely believe that the world would be a better place if people spent more time worrying about their own decisions rather than involving themselves in someone else's. ACE.

Self righteous rant over? Judging still isn't cool? PHEW (I'm SO glad that's over too..)
MOVINGGGG OOOOOOON
MOVINGGGG OOOOOOON
- Lose Weight and Get Fit
- Quit Smoking
- Learn Something New
- Eat Healthier and Diet
- Get Out of Debt and Save Money
- Spend More Time with Family
- Travel to New Places
- Be Less Stressed
- Volunteer
- Drink Less
In short, I love New Year's Resolutions. I love how they're made, I love how they're the embodiment of people trying to better themselves. I love how they're broken, I love how they highlight imperfections but also and most importantly, people's perfections.
New Year, New Us?
Nah, we'll definitely be the same bitches we were last year.

Not only is the Bluebird my favourite place in the entire world; the cocktails and food make it the perfect setting for catching up with a friend or a nice night out with the family - NOW, you can go ice-skating there. Wonderful.
3. Michael Bublé's Christmas Album (DELUXE VERSION, of course)
An essential
4. Party food
Am I the only one who feels like they aren't devouring a thousand millions calories if it's in bite size morsels?
5. Tinder
Combines shamelessly judging people with the chance of meeting a hot man? LOVE
Big CHRISTMASSY love,

catching up
I have no excuse for the lateness of this post.
And how abysmally dreadful it's going to be.
As I stare at the "content plan" that Beth and I so keenly and hopefully wrote up about a month ago I try to think of all the things I got up to that barred me from holding up my end of the deal with this little corner of the internet. While Beth has legitimately, and quite stressfully, been moving house. I am on the other hand pathologically lazy.
But here goes.
We're back.
We may not have been posting but we've been interviewing, shooting (pictures, obviously - otherwise this would be a totally different blog) and writing so please please please stay tuned/hang on in there/don't leave us/abandon this little creative outlet because what's set to come is going to be awesome (and that's a promise).
Love you more than Harry Style's naked and covered in chocolate...

CRUSH OF THE MONTH: Coastal Cities
With the revival of the boy band at an all time high, it's rare to be able to indulge in a band full of good looking boys who aren't choreographed to a T and aren't dancing to a backing track as opposed to playing their own instruments.
That's why when we stumbled across Coastal Cities we were hooked by the first hook (too easy and too hard to resist).

Coastal Cities are from High Wycombe which, ironically, is not a coastal city (embarrassingly had to Google this...) and consist of Declan, Sean, Lewis, Dan and William. They've recently been nabbed as "utterly brilliant" by The Recommender and we can't help but agree.
They have an 80's feel without being cheesy and their rough and raw guitar and vocals have a home-grown vibe without sounding too amateurish. I could go on about their releases of Entropic / Nothing Ever Changes but their music really does speak for itself.
Download their two singles here and you'll definitely understand why they're our CRUSH OF THE MONTH (sounds creepier the more I say it...):
We wish them all the best and can't wait to say "we knew about them ages ago" when their inevitably selling out shows in minutes.
p.s: you can watch their music video for "Nothing Ever Changes" and observe their edgy/chiselled silhouettes and maybe fall in love with them (like we have) here:
